Part 3 in the “Body Types Decoded” Series
Missed a chapter? Catch up here:
🔹 Part 1: What is Epigenetics?
🔹 Part 2: Body Types, HealthTypes, and Why One Size Fits No One
Alright friend, you’ve stuck with me through the nerdy science bits (gold star for you), and you’ve learned there are six modern HealthTypes. Now you’re probably wondering, “Right, but which one am I then?”
Don’t worry, I’ve got you. Let’s take the guesswork out of it and figure out how to discover your own body’s design.
Imagine waking up and suddenly understanding:
Knowing your HealthType can help you understand why you are the way you are: your body shape, your natural tendencies, even the weird little things that make you tick (or ticked off). It helps you make sense of your world: your work, your relationships, your health, your energy… your life. Suddenly my tagline: Your Health~Your Journey~Your Design makes so much more sense now!
It also gives you this magical new lens to view others with more compassion and clarity. Suddenly, you’re not judging folks for being “too much” or “too lazy”. You get why they operate the way they do. And you stop beating yourself up for not being the Energizer Bunny when you were biologically built for Sunday strolls and warm cups of tea.
To get a precise reading, your best bet is to work with an accredited PH360 coach (that’s me).
We go deep. Like “tell me about your great-granny’s digestion and let’s measure your wrist bones” kind of deep. We take detailed anthropometric measurements (think body structure, proportions, and all the angles), along with your ancestry, lifestyle factors, and medical history. It’s a bit like getting a genetic deep-dive without the cheek swab.
The PH360 system pulls all this data together using artificial intelligence and evidence-based health science to create a completely customized health profile for you. It’s the only system in the world that uses biological individuality as its foundation, not general advice from the latest wellness trend.
Sounds intense? It is. But it’s also powerful. Like, life-changing powerful.
Because no two people have the same epigenetics. Not even identical twins. So why are we all told to eat tons of protein and invest in cold plunges? This is why, when PH360 coaches see “just follow this generic plan,” we grab our tape measures and emotional support snacks because someone’s about to learn about biological individuality the hard way.
If you’re curious but not quite ready to dive in headfirst, there’s a free quiz you can try:
Here’s the catch: it’s about 70-75% accurate.
I took it myself and—get this—it pegged me wrong. So I recommend:
Think of it like a rough sketch and not a detailed blueprint. It’ll point you in the right direction, but if you’re looking for real clarity, working with an accredited PH360 coach (like me!) gives you the accuracy and depth the quiz just can’t match. The quiz is a helpful starting point but don’t let it define your future. In other words, don’t bet Monday night dinner or a gym membership on 70% accuracy!
Now for the fun part! Let’s explore the six HealthTypes. These aren’t based on your star sign or your favorite flavor of ice cream. This is biological individuality in action; rooted in science, not superstition. Each HealthType reflects how your body is built, how it functions best, and how it interacts with the world around you.
Sensors are pure Ectomorphs—long, lean, and light. They often have tall frames, long limbs, fingers, feet, necks, and torsos. This light bone structure doesn’t hold a lot of fat or muscle, which means they’re naturally slim but can be more prone to issues like osteoporosis.
Sensors tend to gain weight around the belly, and their bodies are often shaped like a ruler. They’re highly sensitive to their environment and tend to need quiet time to process and recharge. Naturally independent and introspective, Sensors make excellent thinkers, creators, and observers. They fall between 300°–30° on the HealthType circle and are dominant in the ectoderm germ layer.
Crusaders are long, lean, and logical; a mix of Ectomorph and Mesomorph. They usually have a medium build with a rectangular or V-shaped frame, toned limbs, and small wrists and ankles. They often have oval-shaped faces and a slightly angular appearance.
While they can be fit and strong, Crusaders struggle to build bulk and often gain weight around the midsection. They love structure, thrive on goals, and need mental stimulation as much as physical. These types are between 30°–90° on the HealthType circle and are dominant in both ectoderm and mesoderm layers.
Activators are the pure Mesomorphs of the group: naturally lean, muscular, agile, and always on the move. They usually have a smaller frame, are often short, with short fingers, smaller hands and feet, and a compact, powerful body. Their build is square or V-shaped, and they’re often naturally toned even without much effort.
These folks rarely sit still. Activators thrive on high-intensity movement and tend to learn through doing. When they gain weight, it spreads evenly, and they usually bounce back quickly. They sit between 90°–150° on the HealthType circle and are dominant in the mesoderm germ layer.
Connector – The Social Butterfly
Connectors are a blend of Mesomorph and Endomorph. They’re often shorter in height with a solid, medium-to-heavy bone structure and a soft, round build. Their body type is typically apple or pear-shaped, with a heart-shaped face and short fingers. They have a tendency to carry both muscle and fat and the capacity to gain both quickly.
Connectors thrive on connection and variety. If something’s too repetitive, they’ll bail. Their energy comes from being with people, engaging with life, and feeling like they’re making an impact. On the HealthType circle, they land between 150°–210°, with a combination of mesoderm and endoderm dominance.
The Guardian is your classic Endomorph—big-boned, strong, and built for comfort, not speed. Guardians typically have a broad body structure with thick bones, large joints, and round or square shapes. Their wrists, fingers, and feet tend to be wide, and when they gain weight, it distributes evenly across their body.
They’re the strongest of the six HealthTypes and have an incredible capacity for endurance and physical power. Guardians are natural providers, protectors, and caretakers. They can be tall or short, and often have a calming, grounded energy. They sit between 210°–270° on the HealthType circle and are dominant in the endoderm germ layer.
Diplomats are a combo of Endomorph and Ectomorph and have the greatest range in body shapes. They’re often medium to tall in height, with a strong, solid build and muscular legs. Think: ancient Greek gods or statuesque warriors. Diplomats can be apple or pear-shaped and may carry extra weight around the upper or lower body.
They’re calm, warm, and built for endurance not speed. They enjoy comfort, consistency, and a relaxed pace of life. Their body responds well to steady routines and gentle movement. You’ll find them between 270°–330° on the circle with endoderm and ectoderm dominance.
So, did you recognize yourself in any of those descriptions? Or maybe a mix of two? That’s totally normal. You’re a beautifully complex creature, after all. Each HealthType has its own superpowers (and let’s be honest—some kryptonite too). But understanding your own type means you can finally stop fighting your body and start working with it.
If you’d like help decoding your true HealthType and putting it into action with a lifestyle that actually works for your biology—not against it—I’d love to help. I offer HealthType assessments and customized coaching to help you eat, move, work, and live in a way that’s truly aligned with your design.
Stay tuned for more blog posts that dive into HealthType specific lifestyle strategies. You’ll learn generalized ideas of what to eat, how to move, and when to rest based on your HealthType. You’ll need to work with a coach to get “unique made for only you advice,” but this should wet your appetite. Because “one-size-fits-all” is so last decade.
